Aparthotel Manila: A Traveller's Field Guide

An aparthotel in Manila is an apartment-style hotel stay: a kitchen or kitchenette, more floor space than a standard room, and some hotel service such as a front desk or housekeeping. The most useful single reference is aparthotel.com’s aparthotels and serviced apartments in Manila page. It lists 241 stays, 199 of them aparthotels and 42 serviced apartments, and says 203 have a full kitchen while 38 have only a kitchenette. Where you stay in Metro Manila matters more than the brand. The page describes Makati CBD as suited to business travel, long stays and dining, and Bonifacio Global City (BGC) as suited to business travel, families and long stays. Ermita and Malate are described as a culture and nightlife base for first-time visitors, the Bay Area (Pasay and Entertainment City) for short stays, events and airport access, and Alabang for a quieter base. Traffic is heavy, so a location near your meetings or your family matters more than a few square metres.

On brands, the Manila page names Citadines (5), Somerset (4) and Ascott (2). The wider aparthotel.com brand index shows the other names. Prices: the page shows “from” rates starting at EUR 71 per night. On 11 October 2026 it checked 11 properties for two adults and two nights about two weeks ahead and found “from” prices between EUR 71 and EUR 192, with a median of EUR 141. Some listings only say “Add dates for prices”, and the page says prices change daily. Treat those figures as a snapshot and search your own dates.

For a longer stay, check the details that save money and effort. Of the 241 properties, 118 list an in-apartment washing machine and 125 have parking, while only 9 list a laptop-friendly workspace, so remote workers should check the apartment type.
